Sales Director /Brand Manager

My career at Carlsberg in Denmark shaped my future. It provided me with a fully rounded education and more than a decade of valuable experience in Sales Branding and Marketing at every level. This solid foundation allowed me to expand my horizon to the international market with confidence.

As Sales Director for Carlsberg in Denmark I was responsible for a turnover of 1.8 billion DKK in Off Trade as well as Convenience. I was able to hone my strategic proficiency and negotiating skills by successfully managing the logistical integration of Carlsberg and Coca Cola, a large merger whose implementation included over 600 people, and a turnover of 4.5 billion DKK.

Having a solid background in sales, I still felt there was a lot more substantial experience to be gained from studying the intricacies of brand marketing. I made a deliberate "lateral career move" – sideways, instead of up – and took up the position of Brand Manager of Tuborg in Denmark. In this capacity, I was responsible for the roll-outs of two major Tuborg brands, using new media strategies, including music sales in conjunction with MSN through the newly developed web portal for tuborg.dk.
